hello!

I am an Assistant Professor in the University of Michigan’s Department of Mechanical Engineering.

My research investigates engineering and design approaches to support social justice and promote equity, particularly through the development and investigation of products, services, and systems that improve access to health care in low-resource settings. I also study and teach human-centered design methods that support diverse participation in equity-oriented work. Through my research, teaching, and work outside of academia, I aim to apply my design background towards greater health, development, and social equity.
